Sizzling happy hour launches at Rojo Lounge
Palms Place's lobby bar, Rojo Lounge, aims to become the place to be with a new happy hour and live weekend entertainment helping its cause.
When a hotel lobby bar becomes a destination for more than just guests, someone has done something very right. Rojo Lounge at Palms Place is set on achieving just that, and the sophisticated spot has a few tricks up its sleeve to help.
There’s the décor, of course, the signature ruby red bar and the pretty, trendy people who rest on its sleek black banquettes in-between hitting the slots, Sunset Tan, Rain and Moon.
But now there are more reasons to stop by the sleek cocktail spot.
Rojo now hosts a happy hour from Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. featuring $4 domestics, $5 imports and $5 well drinks. Their tempting specialty cocktails, like the Raspberry Rojo and Blackberry Caiprinha are available for $7, and the well-crafted list offers some truly drool-worthy selections.
For a taste of Paris try the Au Revoir, an irresistible mix of gin, St. Germain, fresh lemon and sparkling wine, or sample the Hemingway Daiquiri, made with silver rum, maraschino liqueur, hand pressed lime and a splash of grapefruit. Plunge into the Moulin Rouge with the potent Absinthe Minded, a cocktail combining absinthe, Rangpur lime gin, velvet falernum (a sweet syrup) and hand pressed lime.

Accompanying the designer drinks every Friday is the blues and soul music of singer-songwriter Brent Jameson who will break out his guitar weekly at 7 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9 p.m. Rojo will transition from bar to lounge as different local DJs take a turn at the turntables and spin until 1 a.m.
With live entertainment, a notable drink list and its convenient location a few minutes walk from the Palms, Rojo Lounge is now ready to serve as the destination spot it aims to be. It’s at Palms Place, after all, where even the hotel lobby bar has to be red hot and effortlessly cool.
