Not so Fabulous

By Sarah Feldberg

Halloweekend just got a little less electric. Fabulous Fest was slated to return to the Orleans Arena this year for an October 30 Pimp-N-Ho’lloween-themed bash featuring DJs Bad Boy Bill, Eddie Halliwell, Sunnery James and Vegas’ own Afghan Raiders, but, alas, the fabulousness has left the building. The fest, put on by Amsterdam-based Art of Dance, is officially canceled, leaving electronic-music heads and two stages of DJs without a party home. The Weekly has confirmed that primary event coordinator Mauritus “Max” Vijsma is no longer with Art of Dance, a possible factor in the festival’s cancellation. So much for a three-peat for Fabulous Fest; dance music fans will have to find somewhere else—perhaps slightly less fab—to ring in the holiday.
