Plenty of all-dude bands would likely prefer ladies cheering them on from the foot of the stage, but few do more than write sappy love songs to ensure it happens. Otherwise’s singer, Adrian Patrick, has a brilliant gender-specific marketing plan to insure the ladies are listening and flattered at the same time. The following is an excerpt from a text conversation Wednesday evening.
Adrian:
If u got this txt it meanz ur HOTT… go 2 our site www.myspace.com/otherwise & listen 2 our new single “Lighthouse,” about a hot-ass chick >;-) much luv ladiez!
Deanna:
So what do the ugly ass dudes get to listen to?
Adrian:
we aint tryin 2 make heavy music 4 ugly dudez, D-Rill ;-)
Deanna:
Lol, gotcha. But can the ugly dudes give it a listen too? Or is there a band better suited for them?
Adrian:
oh fo sho, da mo da merrier girl!
