Tera Patrick was full of surprises Thursday evening during two media appearances at Sheldon Adelson’s neighboring megaresorts on the Strip. (Easy pornballs I know where you were going!)
The first — a major cutback in on-screen action — will surely be devastating news to her worldwide legion of fans.

“I think that it’s time for me to do something else, to do something different,” said the 32-year-old Patrick, at her first media appearance at Lavo inside the Palazzo.
“How long can you really perform in front of the camera? I want everybody to forever see me as the way they loved me when they first saw me.”
Don’t fret Googleites, there will be plenty of opportunities to see Patrick’s (Linda Ann Hopkins' to those in the know in her native Montana) new projects on the Web. But the starlet, who has a home in Summerlin, might just be covering up those 36 DDs more than the adult community is use to in 2009.
Patrick insisted she’ll still make plenty of appearances for her fans on her official Web site and Teravision and said she’s working on an autobiography and a set of workout videos, “Fit for Sex with Tera Patrick.”
While Patrick pleasure seekers likely won’t be trading in past tapes for her new more modest performance DVDs anytime soon, the XXX vixen did offer a twist on her new projects later in the night — showing off her burlesque skills at Tao nightclub inside the Venetian. She said she hopes to be showcasing herself full-time on stage during a future dance gig in Las Vegas.
“Tao is Tera’s home in Vegas,” said Patrick’s husband and hardcore rocker, Evan Seinfeld. “We live between Vegas and L.A., but Vegas has always been our second home.
“We love doing these events, because for us it feels like a bunch of friends are coming over to our house.”
Sorry locals, but a party at Tao is probably the closest you'll come to getting down with Patrick. The star won't be giving out that Clark County address anytime soon. One of the world’s most popular porn stars, Patrick clings to any anonymity she has left, but she said even a trip to Trader Joe’s for snacks or Terrible’s to fill up always ends in an autograph session.
“I get recognized everywhere. It doesn’t matter if I’m in Summerlin or Antarctica,” she said with a big smile. “The last Eskimo on earth knows who I am.”
So too does the adult entertainment industry. The one-time Boise State biology major will be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame Saturday night at the AVN awards at Mandalay Bay.
“I think it’s good to leave everybody with a good impression,” Patrick said of her 10-year career.
Patrick, who was first spotted by a modeling agency as a teenager in San Francisco, won’t only be celebrating her lifetime achievement at AVN— this weekend also marks her and Seinfeld’s fifth wedding anniversary.
“We’re in love; there’s no one else,” said Patrick, whose was married at Sin City’s own Little White Wedding Chapel. “He’s my soul mate.”
Sorry fellas, that one shouldn’t come as a surprise.
