Do you have a foot fetish or are you just happy to see me?

The biggest lesson I learned during my first day attending theAVN Adult Entertainment Expo is that porn stars are thrilled when all you want to do is photograh their feet.

As soon as they find out they don't have to pose with you, you don't have a stack of glossies for them to sign and you don't want to chat them up about that scene where they did that thing you love (but won't tell anyone else you love), they're as chipper as you were when you first saw that scene.

That's not to say I even once saw a girl grumble or groan when cuddling up to a fan for a photo op, or using those wrist muscles she built up giving on-camera HJs to autograph photo after photo.

But there's special twinkle in a girl's eye and lilt in her voice when responding to the question, "Can I just shoot your shoes?" Considering how much time and money these girls spent on choosing their footwear, it's not surprising they're so delighted to show it off.

Another thing I noticed, is that dancers from Sapphire had much more interesting footwear than the actresses. Some of the porn stars were wearing flats (sensible, but not scintillating), while the dancers, on the other hand, were wearing some of the highest heels I've ever seen or go-go boots fit for a moon walk.

"We're always on our feet and always wearing heels," dancer Juanita said of working at Sapphire. "I'm sure a lot of the girls are happy to be wearing go-go boots."
