Steer clear of customers who want to get close

I met a man who told me that his married buddy, on a recent trip to Vegas, had sex with a prostitute. The married man was in town with a group of men for a bachelor party and decided to order some Vegas style “room service.” One of those men told this man’s wife about his activity with a prostitute. Naturally, she was very upset. I’m not sure how the situation was resolved but that is not the issue. Privacy ... Read more...

Hired harem is the virus among us

“Why would she bring her baby to a trick’s room?” a woman wonders aloud while we were in a presidential suite of some hotel. “Trick?” I wondered. “Oh! The guy that paid us to be here.” Then it dawned on me that she was a hooker. Then it dawned on me that I was paid to be in that hotel room. Then we ordered chicken wings and shrimp cocktail from room service. One 40-year-old man and a handful of twenty-something ... Read more...

Xerxes: Gay, or merely fashion-literate?

While leaning against the bar at work, I found myself in a conversation with a man who was so undistinguished, I cannot remember what he looked like at all. But for the sand, and ink, an appealing Internet adventure

I found myself easily susceptible to simple distractions like the sound of my lazy hound dog chewing on a dry bone and the image at the corner of my eye of a cricket leaping across the floor. I find that my own thoughts are distracting too. It feels like endless chatter in my mind sometimes. Unfortunately, I have a perfect outlet ... Read more...

Memories of Burning Man are dust in the wind

On the way home from Burning Man, my friend and I looked like clowns who had been tied to the back of a car and dragged down a dirt road. Our hair was matted like the fur of a neglected, shaggy dog. We hadn’t showered in about a week. Since we left in such haste in fear of more dust storms in the dry lakebed where the event was held, we didn’t bother to change clothes before leaving. We threw ... Read more...

Dirk Diggler not one to party with

I met a woman at the bar of a strip club while I was working. She was in civilian clothing but told me she was a stripper at another club. She was stunning. She had black hair and green eyes that were bright in the low light. She didn’t look like a stripper, though. She didn’t smell like one, either. Instead of cheap body spray that is as common on a stripper as a G-string, she’s wearing designer perfume. The ... Read more...
