Stripped

Tales of the naked city, from a Las Vegas dancer.

A bizarre display of darts and a chatty little person on a freakish Saturday night

A friend of mine was visiting from Canada last week and, naturally, wanted to stop by the Strip. I believe the last time I had been on the strip before then was the last time another Canadian friend was visiting. I was glad to see my friend and totally willing to drive him around while he drank free casino alcohol. I don’t mind the strip so much. I just never have a reason to see it anymore unless I’m driving ... Read more...

I’m taking a licking, but can I keep ticking?

Stripping is absolutely disgusting sometimes. While dancing for yet another random man, I got nauseated and disgusted by what I was doing. I am much more desensitized to gross stuff than almost anyone I know. In fact, I can think of maybe one or two people I know who are at my level of desensitization. People who have basically no gag reaction or stirred emotions when encountering gross stuff. For many strippers, the ability to become desensitized to sexual contact ... Read more...

A return to work, where the vibe is unkind

The good news is that I didn’t get involved in any violent incidents upon my return to work. The tension was thick. “Are you here to clean out your locker?” a girl asked me when I walked in. “No. I’m working tonight.” Other people who used to talk to me just don’t anymore. Staff members who used to be overly friendly, like sexual-harassment-between-the-two-of us-is-okay kind of friendly, are not even making eye contact with me. I certainly couldn’t help but ... Recent blog creates a black hole of drama

As some of the readers noticed, the recent item about strip-club credit card fraud had been briefly removed from this Web site. This is not by reason of censorship. Actually, I get a great deal of freedom in choosing the material for Stripped. The editors simply honored my request to temporarily remove it because, as the expression goes, “sh*t hit the fan” at that strip club. Practically the entire staff of the club read printed copies of the item and ... Read more...

Beware of the band of plastic thieves

Imagine that you went to a strip club, bought a few lap dances on a credit card, and later that month you realize that your card had been charged several more times than you thought. Your card is maxed out. You did not knowingly consent to those charges but you can’t get your money back because the strip club has it on record that you signed for every one of those charges. They even have you on camera signing papers. ... Read more...

A little goo keeps fakery intact

“Do you have any eyelash glue?” I asked a girl in the locker room. She wears fake lashes all the time and she’s a stripper Girl Scout. She has everything a stripper could possibly need even in any worse case scenario. Like a broken nail, for example. Or an adhesively challenged eyelash, as was the case with my dangling false one. I’m a space cadet. I sometimes forget stuff and have to ask around for things. I’ve even borrowed other ... Read more...
