Getting nailed for Christmas

It’s the holidays. Around this time I generally take a step back from the strip club and work on myself while the dust settles. I hit the gym, I get my hair dyed and I stop drinking to the point of passing out on the bathroom floor. A little overdue maintenance for the body and soul. My liver and I appreciate the time off. Things they don’t teach strippers in Econ 101

Good riddance, cowboys. Welcome dead-till-New-Year’s business time. The rodeo is over and I managed to dance for two cowboys and one cowgirl before they all rode off into the sunset. There were surprisingly few cowboys at my club, and I don’t recall hearing a single country song. It was nowhere near the hoedown I was expecting. There were plenty of down hos, though. Where have all the cowboys gone? (And why are we carpooling?)

The first week of NFR has come and gone, and it’s hard not to be completely discouraged. At the end of my last shift me and three other strippers went home in the same car. Two of us hadn’t earned back the money we spent to work, and the other two had barely earned anything over. Stripping for hillbillies

My stripper friend is visiting from out of town to work with me. I warned her it’s going to be insane because the rodeo is back in Las Vegas, but I’m genuinely excited about it this year, which is a lot different than in the past. In previous years, everything about the cowboy invasion annoyed me. I avoided work for the entire duration of the rodeo last year. I didn’t like country music.
