Via Brazil swarmed by drunken accountants!

By Sarah Feldberg

Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but that’s what could happen when exhausted CPAs find out that Brazilian churrascaria Via Brasil Steakhouse is serving free drinks to Las Vegas accountants today to help them celebrate Tax Day.

More

The Summerlin-based restaurant is offering a free drink at the bar to all CPAs this Wednesday, as well as 10 percent off food purchases all day. If there’s a better way to celebrate an end to fiddling with exemptions, receipts, W-2s and 1099s than with a parade of 18 different roasted meats and a gratis cocktail, we haven’t found it. (Although, after months of thumbing through tax files, cursing paper cuts and staring into the void of computer screens, just letting local accountants out of the office might be enough to make them deliriously happy. If they’re blinking a lot, don’t be confused. They’re just readjusting to the sun.)

The Via Brazil discount serves as a big meaty “thank you” to the people who engineer our tax refunds, and to Via Brazil’s accountant, whoever you are, congrats. Clearly, you’ve done a great job.
