Will Ferrell talks two great men: Jesus and Manolo Blahnik

Forget Steve Madden: Will Ferrell is a Manolo man.
The actor-comedian joked about his shoe fetish last night at the premiere for his new movie at Planet Hollywood.
Ferrell plays a small but very funny part alongside Jeremy Piven in The Goods. The soon-to-be-smash movie hits theaters tomorrow.
While walking the red carpet last night Ferrell was asked if he could give anyone a high-five, dead or alive, who would it be.
“Anyone?” the Saturday Night Live alum asked, pondering the possibilities. “Probably Jesus.”
When asked why he chose the Son of God, he replied, “Because I think he’s a great guy.” But then the comedian had a change of heart – a revelation, if you will – and said he’d want to high-five the messiah of footwear instead.
“Manolo Blahnik!” he said. “I love the shoes he makes.”
Blahnik is the high-end women’s shoe designer idolized by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in Sex and the City and worshiped by stiletto-loving women (and the men that love them) everywhere.
A pair of Manolo Blahniks can easily set fashionable feet back $300 or more.
While Ferrell wasn’t wearing any high-fashion heels on the carpet last night, he seems to take his shoe designers seriously.
“I don’t like Steve (Madden),” he deadpanned. “I like Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik. Steve Madden can suck it.”
