Celebrity forecast: Reality stars with a chance of DJs
This weekend looks like it’s going to be a quiet one compared to the last few star-studded ones we’ve had, but that doesn’t mean the celebs have deserted our desert oasis.
Gavin Rossdale will be in town for a show at the Hard Rock tonight. The former Bush frontman will take to the mic at the Hard Rock pool this evening as part of the resort’s Friday Night Live concert series.
Before that, however, Rain’s new Friday night resident, DJ AM, will roll out of bed early for a special daytime appearance at Ditch Fridays’ “Hawaiian Tropic Luau” at the Palms Place pool.
Later that night, AM will share the Rain spotlight with DJ Jazzy Jeff for a “special 2 x 4 DJ set.”
Also playing DJ tonight will be Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, who will once again reassume his role at Privé as guest DJ.
Vegas resident Criss Angel will make a rare public appearance tomorrow when he opens his latest venture, a “Mindfreak Super Store,” at Circus-Circus.
The Believe illusionist will be on site at 1 p.m. to cut (or levitate?) the ribbon on his newest commercial venture and perhaps sign a few autographs for his especially loyal fans.
Also on Saturday afternoon, Mario Lopez and Melora Hardin (who plays “Jan” on The Office) will bask in the sun as the Palazzo unveils its new luxury pool, Azure. And, as we all know, a Palazzo/Venetian appearance usually means a Tao/Lavo spotting the night before or afterward – or both.
And finally, The Hills star Audrina Patridge always seems to be able to find something to celebrate in Las Vegas. This weekend is no different. A supportive sister, Patridge will mark her brother Mark's birthday at Tao Saturday night.
