Welcome to the real champagne room

Time to pop bottles with the privileged. The powers that be behind the crème de la crème of champagnes have chosen Las Vegas for the country’s first Krug Room. And it’s going to be fancy.
Opening today, the Krug Room is located in the depths of Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace. Fortunate patrons are led down a hallway and though a door for culinary delights and of course, the finest champagne from the House of Krug.
The private Krug dining rooms are in the most exclusive locations throughout the globe, the first opening in London’s Dorchester Hotel in 2003. Krug Rooms in Hong Kong and Tokyo followed. Each location is unique, though high-brow ambiance is a given.
If enjoying exceptional champagne isn’t enough to stimulate conversation, the only Krug picnic trunk in the U.S. is featured in Restaurant Guy Savoy with accessories fit for a king. Created by hand and taking approximately 700 hours to make, it boasts a chocolate-colored calfskin exterior embellished with brass and the Krug signature.
For Vegas’ Krug Room, Chef Savoy will change the menu seasonally. This summer, a six-course menu features colors of caviar, crispy sea bass and the restaurant’s signature artichoke with black truffle soup paired with the full spectrum of Krug champagnes: Krug Grande Cuvée, Krug Rosé, Krug Vintage, Krug Collection and Krug Clos du Mesnil.
It looks like the ante has just been upped on places to impress a date.
