Father’s Day doesn’t have to be all about ugly ties and power tools. We live in Las Vegas after all. This Father’s Day, give dad a gift he’ll actually enjoy like a day at the Ritz smoking cigars and drinking scotch or seeing guys beat each other up at The Ultimate Fighter finale at The Pearl. Here are a few of the best bets for Father’s Day:
Saturday June 20:
Cannery Casino & Hotel’s Eighth Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival: The Cannery Casino & Hotel presents the Eighth Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival featuring Marcia Ball, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, John Lee Hooker, Jr. and Ironing Board Sam. In addition, delicious summer barbecue and handcrafted beers and ciders will be served up by several of Las Vegas’ best restaurants and breweries.
Father's Day at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area: Spend Father's Day at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and make the most of the summer's first fee-free weekend. Enjoy picnicking, camping, fishing, swimming and boating with your family.
The Ultimate Fighter Finale at The Pearl: Treat dad to some good old fashioned face bashing at The Ultimate Fighter Finale featuring the top four finalists from TUF season 9's battle between the United States and the United Kingdom. In addition to these exciting fights, catch match ups between Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez and Clay “The Carpenter” Guida and Nate Diaz and Joe "Daddy" Stevenson.
Vino di Lago at Lake Las Vegas: Wine enthusiasts and those wishing to learn more, will experience wines from vineyards across the country as they stroll through the Village. The Vino di Lago wine tasting event benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southern Nevada.
Playmates host at Rok Vegas: If dad’s single and looking for love, or just some eye candy, send him to Rok Vegas where Playmates Monica Leigh, Stephanie Larimore and Lauren Anderson will give dad a Father's Day even he'll never forget!
Sunday, June 21
Father’s Day Scotch and Cigar Experience at The Ritz-Carlton: The Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas presents the Father’s Day Scotch and Cigar Experience in the Lobby Lounge terrace. Totally better than that book on Truman you had picked out.
Dads get in free to the IP's Auto Collections: If you're looking for a unique gift for dad this Father's Day, check out The Auto Collections at Imperial Palace where fathers can peruse the extensive collection of 250 antique, classic, muscle, famous and infamous cars valued at more than $250 million.
Father's Day Brunch at Wolfgang Puck's Gourmet Café: Enjoy some tasty healthy fare on Father's Day at Wolfgang Puck's Gourmet Cafe during Father's Day Brunch from noon until 4 p.m. Rick Arroyo will provide some Latin jazz to listen to while you munch.
Father's Day specials at Hash House A Go Go: Hash House A Go Go, known for their oversized portions and tasty treats, will put a smile on dad's face on Father's Day with their specials. Dine on Papi Chulo hash, peanut butter and banana pancakes with whipped cream, crispy pork tenderloin quesadilla and Felix’s “Front of the TV Meal”- 14-ounce house-roasted Certified Angus Beef prime rib with au jus, served with griddled horseradish mash and fresh grilled corn. That ought to hold him!
Sugar Daddy Party at The Bank: On Father's Day, you can find your sugar daddy at the Sugar Daddy Party at The Bank at Bellagio, hosted by Patti Stanger of Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker.
