Black Diamond in the Neon Rough

By Scott Den Herder

Theron Denson sang in a gospel church in West Virginia. People told him he sounded like Neil Diamond. He then got a desk job at a hotel, where he sang Neil Diamond songs. It eventually got him fired. Now he's in Las Vegas, trying to make it as a Neil Diamond impersonator. Oh yeah, he's also African-American.

His first paid gig in Las Vegas is scheduled for April 11 at 8 p.m. inside the Bootlegger Bistro, 7700 Las Vegas Boulevard.
