Champagne, I believe you know dinner?
Hey, good lookin'.
If you’re thinking that now is no time for celebration, please excuse us for quietly laughing at you from our linen table-clothed, candlelit table for two through a spray of champagne. Good champagne.
There has never been such a time for celebration! Just think: Your dollar will go further today than it did on your last birthday.
With the admirable goal of reintroducing champagne to dinner, Mother’s Day weekend at Bill's Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon saw the soft-launch of what could very well be the best deal in Las Vegas. For just $49.99 per person, The Steakhouse at Bill’s is offering a three-course meal which includes an oh-so-old-school tableside Caesar salad, a 6-ounce filet mignon, fondue desert and—here’s the kicker—one sparkling glass of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 Champagne. Cloaked as a special night for Mom, the “Dom Pérignon & Filet Mignon” dinner is actually here to stay and chef/partner Gabrielle Penazzi will also be offering an Italian take on this deal at his eponymous Harrah’s locale.
The idea here (besides applying a soothing balm to our roughed-up egos and empty wallets) is to celebrate the simple events. Sold your house? Steak and Dom. Promotion? Steak and Dom. Divorce? Steak and Dom. And leave the bottle.
This being a city founded on secrets, handshake deals and special treatment, there is of course a secret deal. Five hundred restaurant, nightlife and casino industry members (in other words, those in the influential roles of host, concierge, guest services, etc) will be invited via the ubiquitous VIP card to partake in just the beverage portion of the deal to end all deals—a glass of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 for $22, the best price for a glass of Dom available in this city.
Remember, the best champagne pairing is, of course, more champagne…
