3D porn is coming… at you

I pride myself on my naivety. Not really. Actually, it’s kind of embarrassing. When I heard there was going to be a red carpet premiere party at The Déjà Vu Love Boutique for Tommy Gunn’s new interactive 3D porno, I thought I should at least check it out for educational purposes. I’d consider it a pre-game for coverage of the AVN awards.

The film, aptly titled Cummin' At You, is “the first time in history” that the select-your-own-adventure style has been combined with 3D visuals to form an interactive porno, according to the film’s co-producer and male lead, Tommy Gunn. This unique aspect of the film offers viewers the chance to see the action through the eyes of either the male or female lead. With 25,000 possible combinations for each point of view, that’s a whopping 50,000 different versions of the story for your viewing pleasure. You may never need to buy another porno again. Right.

As technology advances, pornography is usually one of the first forms of media to jump on board. Now, the industry is betting that the 3D TVs will become a reality in not-too-distant future, and porn fans might end up seeing things from an entirely different angle. With films like Cummin’ At You, porn scenes will literally be in your face.

As he introduced his film, Gunn explained, “We want to test and see how the industry and market would respond to this technology.”

Unlike people who clung to their cassette tapes when CDs rolled out, I have a feeling this new technology will be embraced with open legs, er, arms.

Gunn also mentioned that since his film took about a year to produce, 3D technology has made great advancements. “Now that we’ve harnessed the ability to create 3D adult films and tested the technology to see the result, we’ll start casting in LA in the next two months for the follow up. This could be a possible trilogy.” He also mentioned the possibility of a future casting session in Las Vegas.

The “plot” of the film depicts a young woman, girl-next-door brunette Sindee Jennings, making her first forays into porn as she auditions for Tommy Gunn. The tryout, of course, includes a romp on the infamous casting couch - thousands of different romps, actually, as viewers get to choose how, where and by whom the action takes place.

Jennings, known in the industry as a “natural squirter,” may look sweet and innocent but once she gets into character, the petite star fully embraces her skill, as it were. Viewing the scene from Tommy Gunn’s point of view, Jennings’ legs come out from the casting couch looking freakishly long and thin, like the effect of a fun house mirror. As the technology progresses, hopefully the 3D effects will keep body parts more true to size.

Joining Sindee Jennings at the red carpet premiere were porn stars Katie Koxx, Keiran Lee, Hunter Bryce, Rebecca Love, Morgan Ray and Stormy Daniels, plus Gunn’s co-producer, Marcus London.

The Cummin’ at You producers thought it would be cute to simulate Jennings’ talents with squirt guns pointed at the front row viewers during the appropriate scenes at the premiere. It may not be the most high-tech method Tommy Gunn used to make the action leap off the screen in his new film, but, one way or another, he left the audience all wet.
