Halloween haunts Downtown

By Kristen Peterson

Having grown up in the Halloween Capital of the World, I’m often disappointed with the happenings in some other towns and cities in regards to parades, parties, snackery and dressing up. This year might be a little different in Las Vegas, however, with the inaugural Las Vegas Halloween Parade planned for Oct. 31 Downtown. The parade, scheduled to march from Fourth Street and Hoover Avenue to Fremont East is all-inclusive. Anyone in costume can join in. Art cars are encouraged. Organizers have worked with the folks from Black Rock City (Burning Man) on the event, so it should be, well, theatrical to say the least.
