MGM Grand Hotel and Casino

When walking into the MGM Grand, guests are shown a brief glimpse of old Hollywood. With the 156,023-square-foot casino adoring pictures of stars from Hollywood's golden age, visitors are always in the presences of greatness. Opened in 1993, the resort holds 2,500 slot machines and 200 gaming tables. Within the casino sits the Lion Habitat that allows guests a 360 degree view of real lions playing, sleeping and eating.

The hotel has 5,034 rooms that range from the average standard two-bed room to luxurious suites that suit any person's desires. The Signature at MGM Grand is a brand new tower that offers its guests impeccable service and incredible suites, some are even equipped with private balcony. The MGM also has fine signature restaurants that include tastes from all around the world.

Restaurants like Joël Robuchon or L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon give diners a taste of fine French cuisine, while Seablue and Nobhill offer the freshest seafood. For a taste of New Orleans guests can dine at Emeril's, or for an Asian sensation, guests can visit Pearl for sophisticated Chinese cuisine or Shibuya for fantastic and stylish Japanese dining.

MGM also offers entertainment ranging from Cirque du Soleil's "KÀ," to the sensuous MGM Grand's "Crazy Horse Paris." Studio 54 and Tabù Ultra Lounge are the two prominent nightclubs at MGM, each offering their own taste of swanky Las Vegas nightlife.

Nightclub & Bars

Centrifuge: Centrifuge at MGM Grand is a 77-seat bar featuring live entertainment and an innovative drink menu. The bar features a progressive music program and numerous freestyle and choreographed dance numbers. Specialty cocktails from each of MGM Grand’s signature restaurants are available to order. Such fruit-infused spirits include the Kentucky Peach, served with peach-infused Woodford Reserve Bourbon, peach nectar, fresh sour and ginger ale and the Frida with strawberry pineapple-infused Patron tequila, lime and citronage.

Rouge: Rouge, an upscale lounge overlooking the casino floor, is the perfect place to engage in a game of video poker, catch the action of major sporting events or just enjoy people watching. An array of specialty infused cocktails, champagnes, fine wines, specialty beers and cordials are available.

Studio 54: During the late 1970s Studio 54 in Manhattan was the ultimate destination in hedonistic nightlife, so it only makes sense that the local reincarnation of New York’s famous nightclub is a perfect fit in Vegas. While there may not be cocaine and cash stuffed in the walls, this club certainly knows a thing or two about excess. Sprawling a massive 22,000 square feet with four dance floors to get your groove on, Studio 54 is full of nods to the original. From the signature disco ball still spinning from the ceiling to the huge black and white photographs taken at the NY venue, there is no doubt where the club gets its inspiration. But while the interior features décor synonymous with the original Studio 54, there’s nothing outdated about it. In 2005 the club underwent a complete remodel, and today aerialists contort above your head, go-go dancers writhe to the beat and the dance floor literally pulses with energy. Dress to impress for a night out here, after all it is Studio 54.

Tabú Ultralounge: Win “Best Lounge” from Club Systems International’s prestigious Club World Awards and you’re a hot spot. Win it twice and you’re a destination. Win it three times and you’re Tabú Ultra Lounge, the MGM Grand’s intimate nightclub known for its clean lines, casual vibe and stellar soundtrack. With two bars to choose from, patrons here sip on heavy-duty cocktails as they mingle to the sounds of hip-hop, house, old school and rock from some of Vegas’ favorite DJs like Jose 2 Hype and Eric Forbes. In an interesting twist, the VIP section and the dance floor are one in the same at Tabú. A row of tables runs down the club’s center where VIPs enjoy bottle service from decked out models as well as a front row view of dancing patrons who take to wide, low tables to show off their best moves. Whether you’re getting low or just watching the action, not much is taboo at this sexy lounge.

West Wing Bar: The West Wing Bar provides a secluded place to hang out, meet before an evening of dining and entertainment or wind down with a nightcap. Catch a live DJ set on Friday and Saturday nights.

Zuri: Zuri, the lobby bar at MGM Grand, offers guests a contemporary twist on a classic martini bar, the venue serves classic cocktails and features hard-to-find specialty beers from around the world and a cigar humidor.

Dining

Joel Robuchon: For a first-class dining experience in an intimate environment, try the traditional French cuisine at Joel Robuchon. While outdoor seating is not available, seating inside the restaurant's vertical garden gives customers the feeling of being outdoors. Reservations are highly recommended. The private dining area holds 10 people. Garden area can be reserved for group of 12. While individual menu items range from $85 to $235, most customers choose from tasting menu -- which averages $400 per person.
