Ask DJ Axis, Johnny Randall, what happens when he takes over the turntables and he’s quick to explain the philosophy behind his set. “It’s about getting lifted,” he says. “It’s definitely for the dance culture; it’s not for everyone.” Originally from Houston, the 38-year-old DJ has made the rounds in Vegas playing mostly corporate events for big name clients like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Cale Haan at the Palazzo. His entertaining style bounces seamlessly across genres, blending a wide range of styles for a groovey, danceable sound.
