Las Vegas native Frank Richards is one of the most successful international house DJs living in Nevada today. Holding a three and a half year residency at the terrace at Pure, one of the globe's most elite nightclubs, he has brought old and new club goers to a place where the ambience and his music keep people dancing. During Richards’ career he has headlined cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Ko Samui, Shanghai, Jakarta, Manila, Cebu, Bali, Miami, New York, San Diego, L.A. and San Francisco, and in May-June 2008 he will be gearing up for his fifth Asian DJ Tour.
Strictly a house DJ for the last 15 years, Richards’ musical tastes range from minimal to tech house, tribal, classics and deep house. Whatever the occasion calls for, Richards always delivers fresh and unique sounds!
Richards’ influence on the Vegas nightclub scene dates back to 1992, when he first began spinning and promoting underground events inspired by his love for house music and DJs like Doc Martin, Satoshi Tomiie, Garth, Jeno, Thomas and Mark Farina. In 1997, he gained a residency at Club Utopia, a visionary nightclub, where he transformed the patio into an international destination for passionate house music fans. The residency at Utopia put Richards along side world class DJ talent on a weekly basis for six years. The laundry list of headliners at Utopia is a who’s who of global DJ phenoms: Doc Martin, Moby, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Sasha, Josh Wink, Hippie, Sandra Collins, Bad Boy Bill, Terry Mullan, David Alvarado, Mark Farina, Grant Plant, DJ Dan, Miguel Migs, Keoki and more.
In 2003, Richards accepted the position of Music Director and resident DJ at ICE Metaclub, where he once again had the opportunity to spin with celebrity DJs like Felix da Housecat, Armin Van Burren, Donald Glaude, Dayhota, DJ Collette and Jesse Saunders. Today, catch Richards at Pure to experience his vibrant live performance.
