Dj GC, “The GoldenChild,” began his love of music at the age of five sitting at the piano. His passion then evolved, and when he was 15 years-old GC’s education in mixology began when he switched to a very different instrument: two Technics 1200 turntables and a Numark 1700T mixer. Influenced by a lot of Chicago’s greatest DJs like Bad Boy Bill, Farley JackMaster Funk, Terry Hunter and Jesse Saunders, throughout his career GC has proven that he can enlighten a crowd through his music.
Over the past two decades DJ GC has brought his unique style of thumping house punctuated by ethereal vocal tracks and club favorites to countless events, playing at nearly every hotel and casino on the Las Vegas strip and for celebrities like Jeff Speakman (The Perfect Weapon) and the legendary Aretha Franklin. On the turntables GC covers a wide range of music, from disco to ‘80s to Latin to hip-hop and house.
“Anyone can be a DJ and play music,” DJ GoldenChild says, “but knowing how to read a crowd and knowing when to throw on the right song, which makes a crowd move even harder, makes a true DJ. "
