Start of summer 1992: At age 15, I was the youngest breakdancer in my crew and wasn't scared to try new moves. But then again, I got injured doing a hand spin on my wrist. So, I did what all injured dancers do - hung out with the DJ the whole time. And I noticed how the DJ could control the vibe and tempo of the room. And that's how my passion for DJing was born.

- I was with a group of friends looking up DJ names in the encyclopedia. We were hungry for pizza and didn't have the number to that local pizza joint. So we called the 411 operator for the number. Operator said. "411 Operator!! How may I connect you!?" And that's how I got DJ Konnex! It sure beats DJ 411.
