DJ Lenny Alfonzo's first paying gig was Lipstick Lounge in Las Vegas. From there he moved to L.A. and got into funk, throwing an underground party in both L.A. and Phoenix called "The Big Payback." Alfonzo then discovered house music, moved to New York City, and started playing lounges with a program directing position at a local bar. His journey then took him to Chicago, where he landed a residency at Red Dog. After it closed, he played all over Chicago, holding onto his soulful roots while most jobs were going to the harder house DJ's. He returned to Vegas in 2005 and landed a Thursday residency at Downtown Cocktail Room as well as a Saturday position at Electronic Music Cafe--he also books the DJ's for Jesse Saunders on Friday and Saturday for Electronic Music Cafe. Alfonzo is currently working with local talent in order to launch his first label.
