Morpheus Blak has had a love affair with rock ‘n’ roll since the time he was six years old and his parents were bringing home all the new Beatles albums. “My mother in particular was very much into The Beatles. That worked out very well for me, as I fell in love with The Beatles and rock ‘n’ roll from the time I was old enough to understand music.” A lifetime of passion for music led Blak in the mid 1990’s to begin DJing as a hobby at a local rock club in Toronto. “What started out as a hobby quickly escalated into a regular gig, as from the beginning people began coming up to me saying that I was playing the best music they had ever heard in a club anywhere.”

After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, Blak soon became associated with No Static Pro Audio based in Burbank. With No Static he began working some the hottest A-lister private parties and corporate events for three years. Now a resident of Las Vegas, Blak recently finished a highly successful one-year run of his night called Blak Fridays at the super hip Beauty Bar club located in the Fremont East entertainment district.
What spurs Blak on in today’s market is a really personal matter with him. “I am sad that America has forgotten its roots. We invented rock ‘n’ roll, and we grew up dancing to it. I bring people back to that. In this day and age of rap, hip hop, techno and mash-up, I get people dancing to good old rock ‘n’ roll. It is amazing to see people having fun dancing to it, and I confess a great pleasure in making that happen.”
