Jabba the shirt: Wear him today
Thu, Aug 7, 2008 (midnight)
They called him Jabba the Huntridge, the foul-mouthed, ill-tempered and morbidly obese security guard at the historic Huntridge Theatre who patted down thousands of kids on their way into the former concert venue. Though it’s rumored the man passed away some years ago, his legacy lives on … in the form of a T-shirt.
Thanks to former Las Vegan Jon Mojeske, Jabba—and the visage of his former employer—can be splattered across your chest by way of the limited-edition shirt available through Mojeske’s Improperazzi clothing line. “Anyone who ever went to the Huntridge Theater instantly met … ‘Jabba The Huntridge,’” Mojeske explains on his Vegas Pop Art blog (popvegasart.blogspot.com). “Even out-of-state visitors, including the bands, knew his name. I was laughing about [him] with some guys in Danzig one night on the tour bus. It is then obvious [he] is, in fact, LEGENDARY!”
Shirts are priced at $22 at improperazzi.net
