We’re not sure if Searchlight, Nevada, has ever been featured on the Travel Channel (odds on not), but we do know Searchlight the band will have that honor this week.

The Vegas foursome will appear on the program Vegas Revolution, specifically an episode titled “Vegas Adrenaline: It’s Time to Get Busy,” premiering on the station (Cox Channel 66) at 10 p.m. on December 4. The show’s cameras captured Searchlight recording in the Studio at the Palms in October.

The local rockers plan to take the results of that Palms session to Utah in January, where producer Branden Steineckert—who previously worked with the band on 2007’s Resident Evil 3 soundtrack contribution “Contagious”—will produce a six-song EP.

The band has also posted a cover of holiday classic “White Christmas” for free download at Myspace.com/searchlightmusic. That track was also recorded at the Palms, with help from Mark Gray, the Vegas-based studio engineer who worked on several Chinese Democracy cuts with Axl Rose in 2006.
