Why wait till October? Oktoberfest—only one of the biggest parties on the planet (German-speaking and otherwise)—kicked off on Saturday, September 13 with a little help from our friends Siegfried and Roy. The “Masters of Illusion” officially kicked off this year’s celebration by tapping the ceremonial first keg of Oktoberfest beer, a rich, flavorful seasonal brew made in strict accordance with Bavaria’s centuries-old Purity Law, imported fresh from Munich, Germany. Oktoberfest will be on tap from now through Friday, October 31, with a new honorary celebrity keg-tapper every Friday night.
