If Glasvegas expects to be taken the least bit seriously—and judging from the Scots’ anthemically aimed tunes and frontman James Allan’s bloated stage persona, they really want to be—the band needs to recruit a real drummer. Or, perhaps, encourage current drummer Caroline McKay to get a real drum kit (she currently stands, yes, stands, behind a floor tom, snare, crash cymbal and mounted tambourine ... and nothing else) and encourage her to stay in time with a bit more regularity as she bangs away.
