Top Chef’s Las Vegas-set sixth season premieres August 19 on Bravo, welcoming 17 cheftestants to the hit reality cooking competition. While there won’t be any local faces among the white-coated hopefuls, there will be plenty of Vegas infused throughout the season in the form of guest judges like Daniel Boulud and Hubert Keller and cameos by celebrated Vegas restaurants on and off the Strip.

“We had many extraordinary adventures, but what we found there is that there really is a great diversity in Las Vegas,” explains Top Chef judge Gail Simmons. “It’s not just about $500 tasting menus. There are great chefs doing stuff at every level, and there’s also a lot of stuff off the Strip … We take the chefs out of the lights and into other elements of Las Vegas that people don’t always get to see.”
A Vegas-based show that ditches the Strip for the neighborhoods? We’ll eat that right up.
