Nite bite: Movember moustache party
Wed, Dec 2, 2009 (5:59 p.m.)
Notice an inordinate number of sweet, Cochese-esque ’staches walking around last month? You’re not alone. Throughout the month of Movember, formally known as November, “Mo Bros” start the month clean-shaven, and grow a moustache and/or beard to garner support from family and friends by raising donations for prostate and testicular-cancer awareness and research. Think of it as a pink ribbon for a dude’s face to remind guys to get their junk checked.
Even though the month of Movember is over, don’t shave those handlebars off just yet. Around the globe, Movember culminates with a charity shindig celebrating the unshorn, charitable ones; Vegas will throw such a party at Playboy Club December 6, when the best moustache will win the 2009 Las Vegas Man of Movember Award. Tickets can be obtained for a $10 donation at movember.com or at the door. Things could get hairy.
Palms Casino Resort has come a long way since its "Real World" debut in 2002. The boutique property features three distinct towers and a diverse mix of bars and restaurants across a 95,000-square-foot casino.

In addition to newly designed rooms, during the first phase of the renovation, Palms will welcome Heraea, a high-energy American restaurant and lounge, and XISHI, a pan-Asian restaurant and lounge.
Fantasy Suites include the Hardwood Suite, the only hotel room in the world with its own basketball court.
