Suggestion box: Bring the Oscars to Vegas

After watching the witless farrago that was this year’s Oscars, we know what has to be done to save the dying franchise: Bring it to Las Vegas. It would be a nice getaway for the celebs, since most of them already live in Southern California anyway, and they’d have much more to do afterward than just hang out at afterparties. And really, if Hollywood’s idea of celebrating the movies is lots of song-and-dance numbers, doesn’t Vegas makes more sense? And we’ve got lots of unemployed showgirls that could use the work.
