A recent battle between local party crews the Army of Drinkers and Team FML—to see which could bring the biggest entourage to Bare Pool—was a dirty fight for ultimate bragging rights, a trophy and a year’s worth of Patron.
Moving past simply inviting the masses, I took the fight to the next level of grime, sending an official-sounding text message to the other team’s members, informing them that the event was rescheduled due to bad weather. But through it all, I was so focused on A.O.D. winning that I didn’t take the time to eat anything before I found myself drinking all day in the hot sun. Which led, of course, to the unscheduled tackling of an innocent bystander and, ultimately, a dual descent into the pool, fully clothed. Well, for what it’s worth, my team won!
