It occurred to me while making the rounds at the Palms dressed like Lucille Ball (thanks to a “Catskills Chic” party I had attended just prior) that no one appeared to even notice. Apparently what happens in Vegas … doesn’t get a second glance. –Xania Woodman

The most ’80s-est, hair metal-y thing I could find for the Steel Panther concert was three layers of neon animal print, which I hid under a jacket until everybody else’s get-up made mine look tame. –C. Moon Reed

Our trio was adorned in our best raver-esque get-ups (complete with yarn-hair dreads, Hello Kitty shirts and armloads of plastic kandi-bead bracelets), but the attention we garnered paled in comparison to that for the outlandish costumed characters at Rain for Perfecto on a Saturday night. –Deanna Rilling
