Ashley Greene says Twilight fans can expect more action and emotion in New Moon. The latest installment of the Twilight series opens in theaters today.
“It kind of keeps you on the edge of your seat a little bit more than the first one,” Greene said while in Las Vegas for Halloween.
Greene’s co-star, Kellan Lutz, joined her at Tao’s costume party on Oct. 31, but did not speak to reporters.
“The first (Twilight movie) was, I think, very much a love story and this one’s kind of more about heartbreak and healing,” she said. “Edward kind of breaks Bella‘s heart so you definitely see Jacob, Taylor Lautner character, swoop in to rescue her,” Greene explained, “So you get to see their chemistry and dynamic which is really cool.”
“Then you have the Volturi come in so there’s that threat and danger,” she added.
As most Twilight fanatics already know, the Volturi are an elite class of vampires who help ensure vampires’ existence remains a secret.

Greene said New Moon is “a little more guy-friendly.”
“It’s a lot more action-packed,” she said. “It’s really good.”
The actress, who plays the role of Alice Cullen, said New Moon is also different from the first Twilight movie because “there are wolves” in the second movie.
“The wolves are kind of funny because they’re a threat and a danger to our family but they’re also protecting this person that we all love so we kind of have to get along with them,” she explained.
Greene said she has long been a fan of vampire movies.
“I actually, ironically, loved Interview with the Vampire,” she said. “It’s funny because I used to love scary movies and now that I live alone I refuse to watch them.”
The third film in writer Stephenie Meyer’s four-part Twilight series, Eclipse, is expected to hit theaters on June 30, 2010.
