Celeb Preview: Not much going on this weekend
Fri, Nov 27, 2009 (11:27 a.m.)
Jay Leno.

There’s no nice way to say it: This weekend doesn’t look like it’s going to be a big one compared to most weekends in Las Vegas.
But instead of complaining, let’s continue the theme of Thanksgiving and appreciate what stars we have. After all, it could be a lot worse. (Vegas could be Reno.)
Some perspective might also help us to not forget that Las Vegas is one of the few places in the world that you can get Jay Leno, KISS, Buckcherry, Dwight Yoakam, and Patti LaBelle when it’s “slow.”
Jay Leno will kick things off tonight with the first of a two-night stand of stand-up comedy inside the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage. The popular late night TV personality will give a second performance on Saturday.
Renowned DJ, DJ Steve Aoki, continues the night’s itinerary, and will be at Privé at Planet Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Patti LaBelle will perform at the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm.
That same venue, located inside Buffalo Bill’s Casino, will host country singer Dwight Yoakam on Saturday, however the big ticket of the night belongs to KISS and Buckcherry, who are set to perform at The Pearl at the Palms.
Also on Saturday, True Blood actor Ryan Kwanten will throw himself a little birthday party at Lavo. And by “little,” we mean a gigantic Italian meal likely followed by an epic-proportioned night of VIP bottle service in the second-floor club.
Lastly, the Black Crowes will perform on Sunday, at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay.
