It looks like it’s going to be a good-sounding weekend in Las Vegas: The city is set to host an impressive collection of musically diverse and talented guests.
The forecast comes on the tail of last night’s Alice Cooper show at the John Varvatos store at the Hard Rock Hotel, and follows the season finale of the Foster's Poolside Concert Series at the Rio, too, which featured Our Lady Peace, As Yet Unbroken and Searchlight.
Cooper will bring his “Theater of Death Tour” to The Orleans Showroom tonight, where the well-spoken shock-rocker will play through Sunday.
The music will continue tonight with performances by U2, Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, Everlast, Gordon Lightfoot, and LeAnn Rimes.
Tickets to see Bono and the boys as they bring their 360 Degrees tour to the Sam Boyd Stadium are all but sold out (some additional seats were released Thursday afternoon), but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to hand over your life savings to a scalper (or StubHub seller) to see the show: The entire concert is going to be broadcast, free of charge, on YouTube.
And thought Will.i.am will not broadcast live from the DJ booth at Rain, tickets are still available – if you’re 21+, willing to wait in line, and consider cover charge and a wrist stamp a ticket, that is – to see him perform tonight at the Palms.
But before his set at Rain, Will will pop by The Bank at the Bellagio, along with fellow Peas Fergie, Taboo and Apl.de.ap, and host the band’s official afterparty.
Meanwhile, Jermaine Dupri will return to Privé and resume his new residency at Planet Hollywood.
Everlast and Lightfoot will be off the Strip tonight, with the former planning a scaled-down show at Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel and the latter set to take to the stage out at Aliante Station.
LeAnn Rimes, on the other hand, will be on the great boulevard this evening, and will perform at Treasure Island. (No word on whether or not her love interest, actor Eddie Cibrian, will join her in Las Vegas this weekend or not – but either way, there will be no quickie Vegas wedding for the hot “Northern Lights” couple, since Cibrian is still married to the scornful and betrayed Brandi Glanville.)
Cibrian or no Cibrian, Ray Romano will be one casino north of Rimes tonight, at The Mirage, and bring his stand-up comedy to the Terry Fator Theatre tonight and Saturday.
Saturday’s line-up will also include the Steve Miller Band, which will play The Joint, and the sexy and sassy sensation otherwise known as Peaches, who will perform as part of Perfecto.
Larry Tee will join the sweet and juicy DJ onstage at Rain, while former Matchbox 20 frontman, Rob Thomas, will also be at the Palms as he takes his solo career to The Pearl.
Also on Saturday: Shaggy will host at Pure at Caesars Palace and Lil Jon will do the same – OK, not the same, but similar – at Privé at Planet Hollywood.
Brent Bolthouse will also be at PH’s go-to hot spot tomorrow night.
The rapping will continue on Sunday as Canadian hip-hoppers Swollen Members play Wasted Space. Joining them on Sunday night’s rock-club-turned-rap-club’s stage will be Big B and Dirtball, Common Market, and Bliss n Esso.
And finally, Khloe Kardashian rounds out the weekend’s line-up as the socialite-turned-reality TV star-turned-diet pill-pusher returns to Las Vegas and visits the Mirage for Closet Sundays’ one year anniversary party at Revolution.
