Tiny Little Rant: Real estate shenanigans

It was hardly a surprise to us to learn that real estate agent Brooke Boemio, quoted in a recent cover story on Las Vegas in Time, is in a bit of hot water over boasting how she’s able to short-sell properties by getting owners to stop making their payments. What is a surprise is that her hubris is not unique—we’re hearing similar reports all over the city, most of them delivered with a sense of pride. This condoning of ethically questionable (in some cases downright illegal) shenanigans is proof the inmates are running the asylum. If there were a god, you’d all be screwed.
