Over the past decade in Las Vegas, Wayne Newton has performed at the Stardust, Las Vegas Hilton and MGM Grand. He'll add the Tropicana to that list, and an announcement is expected Wednesday during a news conference at the hotel. Multiple sources familiar with the contract talks confirmed the partnership last night.

Details of the show and terms of the contract, along with exactly how the the 67-year-old Newton and new Tropicana Chief Executive Alex Yemenidjian came to the agreement, will be forthcoming. Newton, celebrating his 50th year in show business in Las Vegas, will stage his show in the venerable Tiffany Theatre, home of "Folies Bergere" for 49 years until that show closed in March.
