Sin City Sinners frontman/bassist Todd Kerns — the one in the jean jacket — will be performing with Slash this month.

When one of the most prolific guitarists alive asks you to come jam with him, you'd be a fool to say no.

Todd Kerns ain't no fool.

The Sin City Sinners frontman happily obliged a recent request to visit LA and informally play bass with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. When that opportunity turned into a short touring gig with Slash's solo band, well, turning that down seemed a bit foolish, too.

"Slash is among one of my favorite guitarists," Kerns says, "and he's a good human being. I was like, 'I'd better do this.'"

Kerns will be performing with Slash tonight (April 6) on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, April 8 on Lopez Tonight with George Lopez and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on April 9.

How long Kerns' Slash stint will last is still being negotiated, but the Sinner promises that his Vegas-based band is still his top priority. And why shouldn't it be? The primarily cover band's self-released album of original music, Exile on Fremont Street, dropped on Valentine's Day and is selling well, according to Kerns, especially over the Internet. The band already is talking about ways to improve and create a second album, which would come out in about a year.

"Sin City Sinners is still nearest and dearest to my heart," Kerns promises.

Kerns currently expects not to miss many of the bands' recurring gigs at Ovation, VooDoo Lounge and Fremont Street Experience, and band manager Jason Green promises a fill-in worthy of Kerns' Slash-happy shoes.
