Alicia keys is tackling the unemployment crisis, one fan at a time.
On April 6, Keys announced she is partnering with Monster.com to launch a website called IAAS.com (I Am a Super Woman) in July—and she’s hiring. Specifically, Keys is looking for a full-time “head blogger,” and she’s taking applications through May 3.
The Details
- Alicia Keys with Robin Thicke and Melanie Fiona
- April 9, 8 p.m., $50-$130
- Mandalay Bay Events Center, 632-7777
Don’t bother bringing your resumé to her Freedom Tour stop at Mandalay Bay this Saturday. She’ll be busy singing up to two dozen of her message-laden songs, and besides, the online application procedure is pretty involved, requiring provable new-media skills.
The neo-soul singer-songwriter-philanthropist says her jobs site “will ignite super women with empowering content, delivering vibrant and optimistic news, opinion, and … will give powerhouses everywhere one source to connect with each other—and the world.”
Keys’ Vegas date is the penultimate show before Keys heads to Portugal to start the European leg of her tour.
