Dave Dresden, whom many know from his work with Josh Gabriel as Gabriel & Dresden, has partnered up Mikael Johnston of Mephisto Odyssey fame.
“We had a lot of the same tastes, a lot of the same wants, a lot of the same ways we go about making things, and also he complimented me really well and I complimented him really well,” says Dresden. “It’s like when you’re out looking for a mate to date, sometimes there’s people that you go out on two dates with and sometimes there’s people you marry, and I think Johnston was one of those people that you marry.” He pauses. “I’m sure he would be cool with that analogy… We both like women,” laughs Dresden.
The duo has already made an impact with their remixes and original new production “Keep Faith.” After being in the studio since late 2008, eager audiophiles at Rise will finally get to experience a live set from Dresden & Johnston.
