Tao Beach’s first wedding, celebrity witness included

It’s official. The first wedding ceremony performed by Reverend Marklen Kennedy, that is. Tao Beach’s director of VIP marketing got ordained earlier this year in keeping with Tao’s theme of worshipping, confessions and general good times. While no one (that we know of) has requested baptismal or sin-pardoning services from the Reverend yet, on August 15 Kennedy got to preside over a very special pool-side ceremony.
Giuliano Scortecci and Heather Leigh Sosaman of Southern California came to Vegas to get hitched and hit up Tao Beach right after picking up their wedding license. In casual conversation with Kennedy, he mentioned the couple could get married amidst the partying as Manufactured Superstars headlined the Beatport Beach Party. Still in their swimsuits, Scortecci and Sosaman tied the knot on the spot, with the bride and groom still holding their cocktails during the ceremony.

Even reality star Stephanie Pratt, who was parting at Tao Beach, stepped in as their official witness. “OMG was just asked to be the ‘witness’ to a couple getting married.... Reverend Markleen [sic] is marrying them in my cabana! Hahaha!!! @TaoBeach!” Pratt tweeted Sunday afternoon. “So many weddings happen in Vegas and to be a part of a ceremony in a place most known for couples committing themselves to one another, whether it be at a small chapel off the Strip or at Tao Beach during Beatport Sunday was pretty amazing,” Pratt later said. Cheers to that.
And congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Scortecci!
