Celebrated choreographer and director Twyla Tharp’s Sinatra: Dance With Me is what So You Think You Can Dance competitors strive for in their young careers and what Dancing With the Stars contestants can only dream about in their lifetimes. The story of four couples who mix and match moves and partners at a nightclub, Sinatra: Dance With Me is an electric and potent mix of modern, ballet and jazz dance set to more than 20 of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ greatest hits, including “Fly Me to the Moon,” “I’ve Got a Crush on You,” “New York, New York” and “My Way,” and accompanied by an orchestra.
The band creates an infectious mood—just try not to tap along—the songs are instantly recognizable, and there’s not a single weak dancer onstage. Karine Plantadit commands attention with her striking looks and strong, powerful movements, and Charlie Neshyba-Hodges is a standout in his comedy dancing relief role. Reality TV fans will notice that Bravo’s Step It Up and Dance Season 1 winner Cody Green and runner-up Michelle Aguilar Camaya are part of the troupe.
Dance’s theater is also home to superstar Garth Brooks, and it look as if Steve Wynn has another winner on his hands. The only downside: At 70 minutes, Dance ends too soon. I could’ve danced all night.
With world-class dining, shopping, spas, golf and entertainment, there's no shortage of things to do at Wynn. The resort’s aquatic acrobatic show, “Le Reve—The Dream,” a creation by Cirque Du Soleil veteran Franco Dragone and Steve Wynn, will leave guests wanting more with its breathtaking performances that conjure an imaginary world. The Wynn Esplanade offers a unique shopping experience with stores including Chanel, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta and many more. Tryst is its signature nightclub, offering a secluded lagoon inside the club and spacious dance floor. Blush, the Wynn’s ultra lounge, draws swanky party-goers. Tryst, Wynn’s signature nightclub, is situated along a private lagoon under a 90-foot waterfall and plays host to some of the world’s most renown DJs.
