Boa’s Santa’s Helper and Autumn Spice

Mother’s got her “little helper” to calm her down. We, on the other hand, are going to call upon Santa’s Helper to get us through the holidays. Boa at the Forum Shops is spreading the holiday cheer (and steadying those nerves during the stressful season) by sharing two recipes to make the rest of the festivities merry and bright.

Santa’s Helper

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Crown Royal

4 oz. spiced apple cider

3/4 oz. vanilla syrup

Whipped cream

1 apple slice

Method:

Bring spiced apple cider to a boil (or spice your own using clove, cinnamon and nutmeg). In a toddy glass, combine hot cider, vanilla syrup and Crown Royal. Top off with a dollop of whipped cream and the apple slice.

Autumn Spice

Ingredients:

1 1/2 tbsp. apricot preserves

1 oz. chai syrup

1 1/2 oz. fresh lemon sour

1 1/2 oz. 10 Cane Rum

Splash of Grand Marnier

Cinnamon and sugar mix

Method:

In a mixing glass, combine apricot preserves, chai syrup, lemon sour and rum. Combine with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a cinnamon and sugar-rimmed cocktail glass. Float a splash of Grand Marnier on top.
