House heads are spinning in 2010. The options in Las Vegas are expanding yet again, this time to Blush at the Wynn. The weekly House Wednesdays kicks off January 20, featuring local DJs Freddy B and Damien Jay.
“We’re bringing the best that the local market has to offer,” says Bill Kennedy, Blush’s assistant director of marketing. “We’re going to try to build the brand and the party before bringing in big-named talent.”
Kennedy adds that Blush will not be naming a resident DJ for the party just yet, so hungry up-and-coming DJs in our area can get a chance to spin.

With the intimacy and size of the boutique lounge (plus a new hardwood dance floor), Kennedy is hoping to create a good house-music party with strong energy.
“It’s not going to be pretentious,” he says. “We want people who are into house music to have a comfortable place to go to.” Kennedy says DJs will be spinning progressive house, a bit of disco-inspired dance music and plenty of vocals for the ladies (sorry, no deep house for this party, at least not yet).
Kennedy is so dedicated to developing that “comfortable place” that’s he’s even taking requests. If attendees have suggestions for the night — DJs they’d like to see or perhaps special promotions they think would be fun — Kennedy welcomes their e-mails at billk@lasvegasnightgroup.com.
“We’re going to take care of the house crowd,” Kennedy says. “That’s our backbone and that’s who we want in there.”
Local ladies will be free at the new party, and local gents can get in sans cover for the first few weeks, too.
Along with the addition of House Wednesdays, Fridays at Blush are getting a makeover as well. La Bella Blush will fill the void left in the wake of Body English closing and taking Indulge Fridays with it. All ladies will receive complimentary admission to La Bella Blush until 1 a.m., and 50 to 100 gift bags with name-brand swag will be given out, as well as complimentary champagne and vodka from 11 p.m. to midnight.
