With the Divine Miss M leaving, who should headline next in the Colosseum?

Buh-bye, Miss M. It was great fun, but it was just one of those things. Bette Midler ends her Caesars Palace run on Sunday, and this being Vegas, before the door even hits Bette’s butt, we’re asking “who’s next?” We see that Mariah Carey is trying the Colosseum on for size on February 27, and she’s a contender. But who else could fill the 4,000-seat saloon for weeks on end—and who else has the catalog depth, intergenerational/interracial/international appeal, reliability and sheer stamina (that leaves you out, Britney) to work out as a high-visibility tourist magnet for our town? Let’s start the wish list here: Barbra Streisand. Stevie Wonder. Dolly Parton. Bruce Springsteen. Tina Turner. Kenny Chesney. Bee Gees. Led Zeppelin. Your thoughts?
