Sit-down food is so 2009. On the heels of the mega-popular Slidin’ Thru slider truck comes Fukuburger, the brainchild of co-owners Colin Fukunaga and Robert “Mags” Magsalin. Initially, the men will serve their full-size burgers from a truck during the wee hours in Chinatown, to feed Fukunaga’s friends in the service industry. (You’ll have to follow them on Twitter to figure out when.) And lest you think a feud is a-grillin’ between the two trucks, think again. “We did a soft opening last Tuesday, and I Twittered it out, and Rick [Guerrero] from Slidin’ Thru started following us,” Fukunaga says. “He re-tweeted it to all his customers, like 1,800 of them, and he ended up being our first customer.” See? Good burgers do bring people together. Fukuburger.com, or on Twitter @fukuburger.
