Dinner on the diamond
Wed, Jun 23, 2010 (3:31 p.m.)
We're pretty sure the last time you heard "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," you weren't thinking of this. Community dining experiment-gone-right Project Dinner Table lands at Cashman Field for the June edition of its locally sourced dinner party—literally setting up shop in left field.

Diners are invited to bring their appetites and their gloves for a multi-course meal from chef Michael Napolitano of Renaissance Catering, live music, cigars, cold beer and—should the mood strike—a game of catch. New and gently used gloves will also be collected for deserving local kids. The only thing missing from this baseball-infused culinary outing: the game itself (the 51s are in Fresno that night). But feel free to sing about peanuts and Cracker Jacks if that gets you in the mood.
