Sick of frequenting the same ol’ venues, weekend after weekend, to see your favorite local bands? Never fear, Viva Rock Vegas may hold the magic serum—and it doesn’t even taste like artificial grape.

Saturday’s local-band showcase goes down outdoors, at the Henderson Events Plaza on Water Street—a spot typically reserved for jazz fests and farmers markets. For $10 you get to breathe some fresh air and listen to eight acts of varying genres, from the indie-pop of Imagine Dragons to the hard rock of Otherwise. There’s even an afterparty, at the Gold Mine Tavern, also in Old Henderson. So drink up, and toast to Viva Rock.

Viva Rock Vegas featuring Imagine Dragons, Otherwise, Summit Grove, Ministry of Love, The Lazystars, The Rooks, Days After Hail, Kristna Antuna. June 26, 3:30-11 p.m., $10. Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St., 267-2171.
