Kaskade takes on Sundays at Encore Beach Club

Image

Meet Kaskade, the new Sunday resident at Encore Beach Club.

“We’re trying to be something special. We think Kaskade is special ... Sunday is the day to make that impact,” says Las Vegas Nightlife Group owner Sean Christie. He has named DJ Kaskade (aka Ryan Raddon) as Encore Beach Club’s Sunday resident. Christie has also signed a big-name DJ as Surrender’s music director.

When it arrives on Memorial Day weekend, the Beach Club and its appended Surrender Nightclub will provide Vegas with a pool/club duo unlike any previously seen. Taking a cue from Ibiza, St. Bart’s and the celebrity playgrounds of the south of France, the 45,000-square-foot Beach Club—designed by Roger Thomas and Steve Wynn—will open daily for weeklong sun worshipping, while the 15,000-square-foot nightclub and covered patio opens Thursday through Saturday (plus one other industry night). After the sun goes down, the entire complex morphs into one massive indoor/outdoor nightclub.

Kaskade will spin sexy, energizing house for the beautiful people of Sunday’s pool party. The artist—currently in-studio completing his next album—has enjoyed great crossover success. “His crowd is the right crowd, the music is correct for what we’re doing at the pool,” says Christie. Plus, “a lot of his fans are female. It seemed to be a happy marriage.” When he’s out of town, Kaskade will invite other internationally known DJs to take the reins. “Not only do we want to appeal to the Las Vegas locals,” says Christie of Kaskade’s draw, “but in addition, Wynn is kind of the home to the European set in town. So we want to appeal to them, too.”

Kaskade’s residency will be feted amid the heavy media exposure during Miami’s Winter Music Conference this month, where Christie and his team will promote Kaskade’s residency at all of his appearances.

As for the pool’s best feature (do we have to pick just one?) it has to be the 34 oversized cabanas and eight bungalows (private hot tubs!), each of which boasts a balcony and terrace with unobstructed views overlooking the Strip. Sound like heaven? Apply online at wynnjobs.com. Interviews will be held on property March 11-13. In all, the Beach Club and Surrender bring 400 jobs to the Vegas market.
